Mounties arrest three located in stolen minivan in Olds, search for two others

A Red Deer trio has been charged while police continue to search for two others after they were located in a stolen vehicle earlier this month.

RCMP were dispatched on the morning of June 5 to a complaint of a stolen vehicle spotted in the parking lot of the Walmart in Olds. A local resident reported that a white Dodge Caravan was parked there with five occupants in the vehicle who appeared to be on drugs. The resident also believed she saw the vehicle listed as stolen on Facebook, police say.

RCMP attended the scene, confirmed the van was stolen and located a male a female inside the vehicle.  Officers attempted to arrest the couple but they fled the scene at a high rate of speed and the police were not able to pursue due to public safety concerns.

Two other suspects were located inside nearby Mark’s Work Warehouse and a third suspect was located trying to walk away from the scene.
