Lacombe County decides against Anderson Park boat launch

LACOMBE COUNTY- Council has decided to defer the further study into a potential boat launch at Anderson Park.

The boat launch was considered for the east shore of Gull Lake between Wilson’s Beach and New Saratoga residential subdivisions.

Council recently discussed the completed portions of the background study and voted not proceed with the project.

“When we looked into the idea of a boat launch, we wanted to know if we could do it,” explained Reeve Paula Law. “With that information in hand, Council is taking time to re-evaluate all of our recreation commitments regarding lake access in order to select the best allocation of these resources.”
