World Indigenous Nations Games coming to Maskwacis
Participants from over 40 countries will be arriving in Maskwacis to begin a 10 day series of events.
World Indigenous Nations Games 2017 will include things such as conferences and cultural gatherings to sporting events. This is the second annual WIN Games series, the last events were held in Brazil in 2015.
Some of the sporting events include canoeing and spear throwing, while some of the team sports include lacrosse, basketball and soccer. All competitions begin at 9 a.m. in various locations around Enoch and Maskwacis.
Conference topics include global issues that Indigenous people face in their respective countries. These issues range from basic human rights, business and food security.
