Red Deer County reports road closures and traffic details ahead of Red Deer Regional Airshow

Red Deer County is alerting the public to a number of road closures ahead of the Red Deer Regional Airshow this weekend.

They explained that Springbrook residents may experience traffic delays because of higher traffic volumes.

The Airshow is set to take place from Friday, July 24 through to Sunday, July 26. As a result, Township Road 372, between Airport Drive and Range Road 282, and Range Road 281, from Township Road 372 to Highway 42, will be closed from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. during all three days.

The county explained that recommended access to residential areas in Springbrook will be through Tamarac Blvd. or Red Wood Blvd.

In addition, on Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., Airport Way from Township Road 374 to Airport Drive will be closed. Officials say traffic flow will be modified to provide two southbound lanes to accommodate increased traffic entering the event parking area.
