Nominations now open for Lacombe County’s Environmental Stewardship Award

Lacombe County announced that nominations are now open for its Environmental Stewardship Award.

The county says anyone is welcome to submit nominations for deserving candidates who embody the spirit of environmental stewardship. However, self-nominations are not allowed.

“Lacombe County is shining a spotlight on outstanding individuals and community non-government organizations who exemplify the essence of environmental stewardship, recognizing individuals or groups who demonstrate an unwavering commitment to conserving and sustaining the environment within Lacombe County,” they wrote in a media release.

The nomination period runs until September 30. Once nominations are closed, a committee will review nominations and select a recipient based on their contributions. The recipient will be presented with a cash award of $1,500.
