Update: Cause of house fire to remain undetermined

The City of Red Deer says the cause of a significant house fire this past weekend will remain undetermined.

The fire took place Saturday night on Truant Crescent in the Timber Ridge area.

The city also now clarifies there were three people inside the house when the fire started, but they made it out safely before fire crews arrived.

Estimated dollar figures related to damages are not available, but the city notes the home is not likely salvageable.
