A Pale Blue Reminder
Contributed by Stephanie Staples at Your Life Unlimited
Recently, the Artemis Program brought our divided world together.
People across countries, beliefs, and backgrounds were united – cheering for a common goal.It reminded us of something easy to forget in the noise of everyday life:
We are small. And we are connected.
If you haven’t watched the astronauts’ press conference, it’s worth a listen. They speak not just about science, but about perspective – about what it means for all of us.
Or, if you have 90 seconds, revisit Carl Sagan and his reflection on the Pale Blue Dot.
It has a way of putting everything back into place.
Made My Day
I was in the coffee shop having a meeting at the window bar when something(s) went by that caught my eye…Two senior couples and two St Bernards walked by…all wearing gold party hats! I wish I could have learned more about what was going on but it sure put smiles on our faces.
What made your day?
What’s new!
I’m hosting a small number of team retreats on a private island right here on (technically, off!) Vancouver Island, Canada (Pacific Northwest for my US friends). They’re a meaningful way to bring teams together on a whole different level.
There are two experiences:
The Executive Edge – for leadership teams looking to realign, think strategically, and strengthen how they lead together
The UPLIFT Experience – for team building, appreciation, and reconnecting people to each other and their work
They’re designed for busy, high-performing groups who aren’t broken… just ready to reconnect, recharge, and come back with more clarity and energy.
If someone comes to mind – a team, leader, or organization that could use that kind of reset – I’d be so grateful if you kept me in mind or made a connection.
Of course, still booking keynote conversations, as well!
Just click reply, and we can chat about your ideas!

Wisdom Takes Work: Learn, Apply, Repeat by Ryan Holiday
A few takeaways I’m playing with:
Practice the art of excerpting – ars excerpendi
Be flexible enough to change your mind
Be a disciple of experience – discepolo della sperienza (love this one)
Learn as if you will live forever – disce quasi semper victurus
Live as if you will die tomorrow – vive quasi cras moriturus
