Michener North Lands sale expected to be finalized in 2026

The Government of Alberta says the sale transaction of the Michener North Lands has not yet been completed.

In a statement from the Ministry of Infrastructure, they explained that they are working with the City of Red Deer and meeting regularly to address outstanding land use matters identified in the purchase and sale agreement.

“The Michener North site in Red Deer is a large, complex property given the wetland areas contained on it, and extra care is being given in the negotiations as a result,” as written in the emailed statement.
