Red Deer RCMP seize drugs, weapons after month-long investigation
Red Deer RCMP General Investigation Section arrested two people and seized multiple weapons and drugs after a month-long drug trafficking investigation.
Police say Red Deer RCMP GIS and the Crime Reduction Team executed a search warrant on March 19 at a private residence in the north end of Red Deer after receiving information earlier in the month that led them to initiate an investigation.
They seized quantities of fentanyl, methamphetamine, two firearms, ammunition, contraband cigarettes, over $4,000 in cash, and other items related to drug trafficking.
As a result, police arrested a 45-year-old man and a 63-year-old woman, both from Red Deer.
