WCLC reflects on Problem Gambling Awareness Month
The Western Canada Lottery Corporation is taking a look back on the work done during Problem Gambling Awareness Month in March.
Throughout the month, they focused on building awareness, reducing stigma, and encouraging open conversations about gambling-related harm.
“Problem Gambling Awareness Month is an important reminder that gambling-related harm is a health issue that requires understanding, compassion, and action,” said Chris Santschi, President & CEO of WCLC, in a media release. “We are proud of the steps taken this month and remain committed to supporting players and communities year-round.”
The Corporation ran social media campaigns that shared messages about Healthy Play, the supports available for those who need them, and the importance of early prevention.
