One of two sentenced in central Alberta home invasion involving firearm
One of two people charged in a central Alberta home invasion involving a firearm has been sentenced to over a year-and-a-half in jail.
Brittney Danielle Goulden, 35, a resident of Tomahawk, northeast of Drayton Valley, was sentenced in Leduc Court of Justice on March 20, 2026, to 600 days in jail, along with 12 months of probation after her release, and a 10-year firearm prohibition.
Goulden was sentenced after pleading guilty to one count of aggravated assault, while seven other charges were withdrawn. Goulden, however, still faces 19 additional charges which have yet to be dealt with.
Those matters are anticipated before the court when her co-accused, Robert Ian Blackwell, 35, of Red Deer, has his trial continue in Leduc Court of Justice on July 6, 2026.
