Rebels unveil first round playoff series schedule versus Raiders

Mar 23, 2026 | 12:46 PM

The Western Hockey League has unveiled the schedule for the upcoming best-of-seven playoff series between the Red Deer Rebels and Prince Albert Raiders.

The two teams will face off in the Eastern Conference quarterfinals beginning this Friday, March 27 and Saturday, March 28, in Prince Albert at the Art Hauser Centre. Puck drop is at 7 p.m.

The series then shifts to Red Deer for Games 3 and 4 on Tuesday, March 31 and Wednesday, April 1, at the Centrium at 7 p.m.

If necessary, Game 5 returns to Prince Albert on Friday, April 3, at 7 p.m., and Game 6 will be played in Red Deer on Sunday, April 5, at 4 p.m.

If there’s a Game 7, the two teams will settle the series at the Art Hauser Centre on Tuesday, April 7, at 7 p.m.

This marks the third time in history that the Raiders and Rebels will meet in the playoffs, and the first time since 2019, when Prince Albert swept the series in round one. The Rebels also swept the Raiders in the opening round in 2013.

This season, the two clubs split the regular-season series with each team winning two games.

The Raiders won the first two games back in October and December before the Rebels returned the favour in March.

The Rebels came out on top 4-3 on March 3 in Saskatchewan before winning again four days later in Red Deer by a score of 3-1.

Tickets are now on sale both online and in person at the Tickets Alberta box office at the Centrium.
