Sylvan Lake council requests exemption for commercial use of golf carts in provincial pilot project

Sylvan Lake council has directed administration to submit a formal request to the province for an exemption to allow the commercial use of golf carts within the Town of Sylvan Lake Pilot Project.

This decision was made during deliberations at the regular council meeting on Tuesday.

Town administration explained that they received approval from the province on March 2 to move forward with residential golf cart use as part of the program.

As a result, council decided to hold off on approving the implementation of the golf cart bylaw until it receives an answer from the provincial government.
