Help sought in connection to alleged homicide of elderly Ponoka County man

RCMP have declared the death of a man in Ponoka County a homicide, but they still need help from the public.

Police say that on Feb. 24, Ponoka RCMP located a deceased 92-year-old man outside his home.

The circumstances appeared suspicious, and RCMP Major Crimes was called in to investigate.

An autopsy conducted Feb. 26 concluded that the manner of death was homicide.

RCMP are seeking public assistance with this investigation. They are looking for any dashcam video between the hours of 9 p.m. on Feb. 23 and 3 a.m. on Feb 24, around Bear Hills Casino and Highway 2A from Highway 611, travelling south into Ponoka.
