Mounties say further investigation revealed the same vehicle had been seen on Oct. 17, 2025, near Sylvan Lake, driving at a high rate of speed with blue lights flashing.

RCMP say two drivers reported the vehicle and stated they initially believed it was a police vehicle.

Three Hills RCMP obtained a warrant to search and seized the vehicle. It was later searched, and a fully functional siren and PA system were found.

The investigation revealed the Ford Crown Victoria was a decommissioned police vehicle, however, had been outfitted by the suspect with police style equipment.

Police say the suspect was issued a Summons and is scheduled to appear at the Alberta Court of Justice in Red Deer on April 17, 2026.

Three Hills RCMP believe there may be additional complaints about the vehicle, and anyone who has information is encouraged to contact the Three Hills RCMP detachment at 403-443-5539.
