Grizzlys goalie Cole Prelusky named AJHL defensive player of the week

Olds Grizzlys goaltender Cole Prelusky has been named the Alberta Junior Hockey League’s defensive player of the week.

The Calgary product posted a 2-0 record during the week of Feb. 9-15 and won his last three starts for the Grizzlys.

He allowed just one goal in both wins and claimed the AJHL Player of the Game honours in the victories.

On Feb. 12, Prelusky made 47 saves to take down the Bonnyville Pontiacs 2-1 at home, followed by a 41-save performance the next day to beat the Camrose Kodiaks 3-1.

Since joining the team in January, Prelusky has a 2.65 goals against average and a .932 save percentage with a record of 4-2-0-1.
