Feb 15, 2026 | 5:11 PM

Hazardous, blizzard-like winter conditions are expected to end Tuesday evening.

That according to Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) which says total snowfall accumulations will be between 15 and 25 cm, with local amounts possibly reaching 40 cm, particularly over parts of east-central Alberta.

Meteorologists say strong winds, gusting up to 60 km/h in some areas, are causing poor visibility and blowing snow. Motorists can expect visibility to be suddenly reduced to near zero at times and road closures possible. Drivers are advised to consider postponing non-essential travel and outdoor activities until conditions improve.
