WATCH: Fireball seen flying through sky near Sylvan Lake Tuesday morning

Citizens across Alberta who were out in the early morning hours on Tuesday may have caught a glimpse of what appeared to be a fireball flying through the sky.

Multiple news outlets, including those in Airdrie and Calgary, reported videos from residents throughout the province of a meteor or fireball in the sky at approximately 6:20 a.m.

Lacombe County resident David Loyer sent rdnewsNOW a video captured by a camera in his backyard on the north side of Sylvan Lake.

According to the American Meteor Society, there were 41 fireball reports made by Albertans, three of which were also reported in Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Quebec.

The reports were made between 6:12 and 6:20 a.m. in communities across Alberta, including Edmonton, Botha, High River, Lloydminster, Killam, Stony Plain, Airdrie, St. Albert, Calgary, Maskwacis, and more.
