Third and final suspect sentenced in Red Deer drug and firearms bust
The third and final man charged in a Red Deer drug trafficking investigation which turned up four firearms, including an AK-47 rifle, has been sentenced to 10 years in jail.
Nicholas James David Wales, 28, was sentenced in Red Deer Court of Justice on Jan. 28, 2026, after being convicted on six counts. Those charges include:
- Possession for purpose
- Possession of loaded/prohibited or restricted firearm (X2)
