Innisfail, Lacombe & Camrose battling this weekend for NCHL’s top seed
The Innisfail Eagles are hoping they can finish atop the North Central Hockey League (NCHL) standings, but it’ll require a win this Saturday night against their arch-nemesis, the Lacombe Generals.
Going into the season finale, Innisfail sits atop the President’s Cup race with 24 points; Camrose also has 24, and Lacombe has 22.
Camrose will host the last place and winless-in-15 Morinville on Saturday.
As for the Eagles and Generals, they’ll duke it out from Innisfail Twin Arenas, with puck drop at 8 p.m. on Jan. 31. There will be free burgers and hot dogs for the first 150 fans. Tickets are $10, at the door only.
