Olds Grizzlys Ryder Riedel earns fourth AJHL Rookie of the Week honours

Olds Grizzlys forward Ryder Riedel has been named the Alberta Junior Hockey League’s Rookie of the Week.

This marks the fourth time this season Riedel has received the honour after he scored four goals and five points from January 5-11.

The rookie recorded a hat trick and an assist on January 6 for a career-high four-point performance in a 6-5 win over the Devon Xtreme.

On Jan. 11, he recorded his first short-handed goal in a 5-4 loss to the Camrose Kodiaks.

This season Riedel is tied for third in AJHL rookie scoring with 23 points in 22 regular-season games.
