Minister Neudorf travelling to Montana to strengthen cross-border energy ties
One elected official from Alberta hopes to improve the reliability of the grid on both sides of the international border.
Nathan Neudorf, Alberta’s Minister of Affordability and Utilities, will travel to Helena, Montana, on January 6 and 7, 2026, for the Montana Chamber of Commerce’s annual Business Days at the Capital event.
He will deliver a keynote address and meet with politicians, business leaders, and policy experts to discuss ways to work with neighbouring jurisdictions to enhance power grid reliability.
“Meeting rising electricity demands means looking beyond our borders,” says Neudorf. “Powering up our electrical ties with Montana is about building a strong foundation for shared energy security, while ensuring that the electricity Albertans depend on remains reliable and affordable for generations.”
