Residential Green Route plowing begins with school sites

The City says it will begin plowing residential Green Routes throughout the community, starting with school sites, on Jan. 2, 2026.

Green Routes are the collector roads, transit routes, and school zones throughout residential subdivisions.

In an effort to avoid school traffic, officials say crews will start with Green Routes surrounding school sites. The tentative schedule for clearing is:

  • Friday, Jan. 2:
    • St. Lorenzo Ruiz (Zone A)
    • St. Teresa of Avila (Zone B)
    • Glendale Sciences and Technology School (Zone B)
    • Aspen Heights Elementary School (Zone B)
    • Normandeau Elementary School (Zone B)
    • Oriole Park Elementary School (Zone C)
    • St. Patrick’s Community School (Zone C)
    • G.H. Dawe Community School (Zone C)
    • Koinonia Christian School / North Cottage Alternative High School (Zone C)
    • Fairview Elementary School (Zone C)
    • Gateway Christian School (Zone E)
    • Lindsay Thurber High School (Zone E)
    • Camille J. Lerouge Elementary School (Zone E)
    • Father Henri Voisin Elementary School (Zone E)
  • Saturday, Jan. 3:

City officials remind you that this schedule may change. Crews will be placing NO PARKING signs along streets a minimum of 12 hours in advance of plowing, so please watch for signs and adhere to parking bans day and night, as plowing operations occur 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The city says a full Green Route residential plowing program will begin on Sunday, Jan. 11. Information on a Grey Route residential plow is not available at this time.
