Downtown snow clearing begins December 28

Beginning Dec. 28, officials with the City of Red Deer say Blue Routes in snow Zone D (downtown) as well as select Red Routes near the hospital and throughout the downtown will be cleared overnight.
The city says clearing will take place from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. from Dec. 28-31. No parking signs will be placed on Saturday in advance of the clearing starting on Sunday.
Officials say parking restrictions are in place and vehicles left on the street will be ticketed and towed at the owner’s expense. Residents are reminded to please watch for NO PARKING sandwich boards.
