Lacombe Police Service investigating two thefts at local arena

Lacombe Police Service (LPS) is investigating a pair of thefts that occurred at the Lacombe Arena on Dec. 14.

Police say the incidents took place between 12:45 and 1:45 p.m., with the first involving someone who stole items from a vehicle in the arena parking lot. The items stolen include a green canvas purse and a green blanket.

LPS believes a tool was used to enter the vehicle, based on the damage found on the driver’s side door handle.

In addition, during that same timeframe, police were notified of a second theft involving someone’s property stolen from the poolside viewing deck inside the facility.

The items reported stolen include a cell phone, car keys, and a blanket.

No suspects have been identified at this time, and the investigation remains ongoing.
