first weekend of summer!

Red Deer’s annual CentreFest moving from July to June

Dec 11, 2025 | 1:55 PM

A typically end-of-July event is moving up a month.

CentreFest, for its 23rd year, will be held June 27-28, 2026, and from noon to 6 p.m. daily.

Chelsea Bates, Red Deer Summer CentreFest Society board member, says the reason for the move is due to the return of the Red Deer Airshow.

“The last time they landed on the same weekend, it really impacted our crowd levels, and in turn, the performer and vendor satisfaction levels as well,” says Bates, former society chair.

“Our hope is that with these events not competing with each other this year, we will have better attendance for the year ahead. We also hope it will be a really nice change to welcome in the summer season ahead as it will be the first weekend out of school for families.”
