Dec 8, 2025 | 4:41 PM

Innisfail RCMP raised nearly $17,500 at their annual charity check stop over the weekend.

The 29th annual event also filled three truck boxes full of high quality toys and new clothing items for the Innisfail Christmas Bureau and Innisfail Food Bank.

Collections will also benefit the Central Alberta Child Advocacy Centre.

“Innisfail RCMP would like to thank the following local businesses for providing incredible donations: Nestle Purina, Central Alberta CO-OP, Shopper’s Drug Mart, Sandstone IDA, Subway, Tim Hortons, Field & Forge, A&W, 7-11 & Canadian Pizza Unlimited,” the detachment says.

“We would also like to acknowledge the numerous volunteers who made this event possible. These volunteers include representatives from: the Innisfail Fire Department, the Town of Innisfail Peace Officers, Corrections Services Canada, Medavie Ambulance, the Christmas Bureau, the Food Bank, the Central Alberta Child Advocacy Centre and members of the Innisfail Policing Committee.”

They also thank Ron King for being Santa Claus, an anonymous festive spirit for being Safety Bear, as well as Courtney Malone for providing the Christmas music.
