This week, the Red Deer Polytechnic basketball teams will challenge the Olds College Broncos.

The RDP Queens hockey team will play the NAIT Ooks, and the Kings hockey team will compete against the SAIT Trojans.

Here is a summary of the upcoming competition:

Basketball

Queens at Broncos | Friday, November 28 | 6 p.m.

The sixth-seeded Red Deer Polytechnic Queens basketball team (3-6) will tip off against the eighth-place Broncos (2-6) in Olds.

The Queens have averaged the most rebounds per game (43.6) in the ACAC.

Kings at Broncos | Friday, November 28 | 8 p.m.

The seventh-place RDP Kings (1-8) will face the eighth-seed Broncos (0-8) on the road. William Tcherkachine, a first-year guard from Toronto, has averaged 13.1 points per game.

Hockey

Queens at Ooks | Friday, November 28 | 6 p.m.

The second-place Red Deer Polytechnic Queens hockey team (9-4) will face off against the third seed NAIT Ooks (8-6) in Edmonton.

Elizabeth Campbell, an RDP Bachelor of Arts in Psychology student, sits second in the league with a 1.21 goals-against average.

Queens vs. Ooks | Gary W. Harris Canada Games Centre | Saturday, November 29 | 7 p.m.

The RDP Queens will host the Ooks at the Gary W. Harris Canada Games Centre.

Kings vs. Trojans | Gary W. Harris Canada Games Centre | Friday, November 28 | 7 p.m.

The first-place RDP Kings hockey team (10-0) will play the second seed SAIT Trojans (9-1) in Red Deer.

Nolan Doell (Bachelor of Education) leads ACAC Men’s Hockey with 12 goals and 19 points.

Kings at Trojans | Saturday, November 29 | 7:15 p.m.

The Kings will challenge the Trojans on the road.
