Freezing rain warning in effect for Red Deer

Freezing rain is expected early Tuesday afternoon, according to Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC).

The advisory was issued at 1:11 p.m. Tuesday.

Roads and walkways will likely become icy and slippery, ECCC says. Icy surfaces could be difficult to detect, so be very careful if walking or driving.

The next couple days are expected to be sunny but with daytime temperatures close to zero. On Friday, it could warm up to 7 degrees Celsius before cooling off again to -2 on Sunday.
