Queens crowned bronze medal champions at nationals

The Red Deer Polytechnic Queens won bronze at the 2025 Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Women’s Soccer National Championship.
Down by a goal at halftime at Setters Place in Red Deer, Queens forward Sein Furuyama, who’s from Kobe, Japan, scored a pair of unassisted goals to lift the Queens to victory in the bronze medal game over the St. Clair College Saints.
The CCAA national bronze medal win is the first in Queens soccer history.
Meantime, in the gold medal match, the Aigles d’Ahuntsic came out on top 1-0 over the Élans de Garneau.
