This week in RDP Athletics: Oct. 31 – Nov. 2

This week, the RDP Kings hockey team will play the NAIT Ooks. The Red Deer Polytechnic Kings and Queens basketball and volleyball squads will challenge the Keyano College Huskies. Both basketball teams will also tip off against the Lakeland College Rustlers. The Queens hockey team will face off against the Medicine Hat College Rattlers. The RDP Rodeo team will compete in southern Alberta.

Hockey

Queens vs. Rattlers | Gary W. Harris Canada Games Centre | Friday, October 31 | 8 p.m.

The first-place RDP Queens hockey team (5-2) and fifth-seed Medicine Hat College Rattlers (1-3) will clash in Red Deer.

The Queens and Rattlers will wrap up their two-game series.

Kings vs. Ooks | Gary W. Harris Canada Games Centre | Friday, October 31 | 4:30 p.m.

The top-seeded Red Deer Polytechnic Kings hockey team (4-0) will host the sixth-place NAIT Ooks (0-2).

The RDP Kings have the most efficient power play (28 per cent) and penalty kill (94.4 per cent) in the league.

The RDP Kings and NAIT Ooks will meet in Edmonton.

Volleyball Queens at Keyano College | Friday, October 31 | 5 p.m.

The Queens Volleyball team (1-1) will take on the Huskies (0-2) at Keyano College.

Kings at Keyano College | Friday, October 31 | 7 p.m.

The RDP Kings Volleyball squad (1-1) will face the Keyano College Huskies (2-0) in Fort McMurray.

Basketball

Queens vs. Huskies | Gary W. Harris Canada Games Centre | Friday, October 31 | 6 p.m.

The Red Deer Polytechnic Queens basketball team (0-2) will entertain the Keyano College Huskies (3-1) at the Gary W. Harris Canada Games Centre.

Mia Cunningham leads the league, averaging 11 rebounds per game.

Queens vs. Rustlers | Gary W. Harris Canada Games Centre | Saturday, November 1 | 1 p.m.

The Queens Basketball team will play the Lakeland College Rustlers (0-4) at home.

Kings vs. Huskies | Gary W. Harris Canada Games Centre | Friday, October 31 | 8 p.m.

The RDP Kings Basketball team (0-2) will host the Keyano College Huskies (4-0).

Marvellous Adepoju ranks third in ACAC Men’s Basketball with a three-point percentage of 55.6.
