On Thursday, B.C. will take on Manitoba at 4:15 p.m., and Alberta will face off with Saskatchewan at 7 p.m.

The playoff rounds will begin on Saturday with the semifinals at 10:15 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. On Sunday, the bronze medal game is set for 10:15 a.m. and the gold medal game at 1 p.m.

Team Alberta will be looking to defend its title this year after defeating Manitoba 8-1 in the 2024 WHL Cup.

Sylvan Lake’s Cody Reynolds will serve as the head coach of the club. Meantime, four Red Deer Rebels prospects will suit up for Alberta, including forward Chase Turchak, defencemen Owen Archer, Nolan Wolitski, and goaltender Chase Nielson.

New to the 2025 WHL Cup this year, the league will be hosting a WHL rookie orientation for players with educational seminars. These will only be available for players and media to attend.

These include Social Media & You hosted by WHL alumnus Andrew Ference, Financial Literacy 101 with WHL alumni Greg Gardner and Kurt Jory, and Billeting and Education with billet mom Nancy Chadwick and Stacey Meyer, WHL Manager of education services and respect programming.
