Alleged Ponoka robbery suspect ordered to stand trial
One of two Ponoka residents charged following an alleged armed robbery earlier this year has been ordered to stand trial.
Kayla Ann Currie, 41, was ordered to stand trial in Ponoka Court of Justice on Oct. 17, 2025, however, a trial date has yet to be set.
Her co-accused, Preston Terrance Saddleback, 36, is currently scheduled for sentencing in Wetaskiwin Court of Justice on Nov. 3, 2025.
It was on Feb. 18, 2025, at about 8 p.m., when Ponoka RCMP responded to reports of an armed robbery at 38 Avenue Close, where a male and female suspect allegedly stole a white Pontiac Vibe at gun point.
