Red Deer area sets new record low temperature for October 13

The Red Deer area broke a new record low temperature for October 13 on Thanksgiving Day Monday.

According to Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC), the Red Deer area dipped to – 12.7 degrees Celsius on Monday, breaking the previous record low of – 10.8 degrees Celsius for Oct. 13, set in 2021.

Records in this area have been kept since 1904.
