Oct 7, 2025 | 4:56 PM

Red Deer and Innsfail RCMP Crime Reduction Units have arrested and charged a Penhold resident following a joint investigation into an active drug trafficker.

Police conducted a search warrant at a residence on Lucina Street in Penhold on Oct. 3, which led to the seizure of 1.3 Kg of methamphetamine, 120 grams of cocaine, cash, and other items and weapons associated with drug trafficking.

This led to the arrest of a 42-year-old man from Penhold who’s been charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of a prohibited weapon.

“The presence of illegal drugs in our community contributes to crime, addiction and harm to families,” said Sergeant Michael Zufferli in a media release. “This seizure represents a step toward making our streets safer and reducing the influence of those who profit from the suffering of others.”
