Blades edge Rebels 4-2 in Saskatoon
The Red Deer Rebels applied pressure late in the game, but were unable to claw their way back in a 4-2 loss to the Saskatoon Blades.
The Friday night tilt at the SaskTel Centre saw plenty of action on both ends of the ice, but special teams played an important role in the result.
The Blades scored two power-play goals on four attempts; meanwhile, the Rebels were held scoreless on two opportunities.
Rebels netminder Peyton Shore made 27 saves on 31 shots, and Blades goalie Evan Gardner had 14 on 16 shots.
