Football Alberta Weekly Top-10 Rankings

Sep 29, 2025 | 9:55 AM

Here are the Weekly Top-10 Rankings for all five levels of high school football in Alberta for the 2025 season.

These rankings will come out every Sunday (except for Labor Day kickoff) from now up until November 2. At that time those will be the last rankings and teams will take this rank into Provincials.

The 12-a-side teams are slotted into their levels based on their estimated school size by School Sport Alberta while the 9 and 6-a-side are one level only. Some re-sorting of 12-a-side levels will take place after the final official population numbers are recorded at the end of September.

Note: games vs. U.S. opponents, scrimmages, or tournaments are not taken into consideration for ranking or listed in the overall record of the schools.

UPCOMING GAME(S) OF THE WEEK:

5A #6 Ernest Manning Griffins vs. #4 St. Francis Browns Friday, October 3, 7:30 p.m., Hellard Stadium at Shouldice Park (Calgary)

It’s never easy playing in Calgary. That is well known to Ernest Manning as the Griffins continue to run the gauntlet as they claw back from an 0-2 start, finally making it over .500 last week with a strong 34-3 win over Henry Wise Wood only to have the undefeated St. Francis Browns waiting for them this week.

The Griffins also have the issue of being down to their third string QB with their two Team Alberta level signal callers injured and unavailable for play. However, that third stringer, Dallan Timmons is looking good so the Griffins may have more in the tank that people think.

The Browns have been healthier for sure and have run the board with an equally aggressive schedule however their margins of victory have become smaller in the past few weeks. Facing a tough team on the rise with be a true test for them this Friday.
