The Foundation of RDPS Life Chances 50/50 raffle now underway

The Foundation for Red Deer Public Schools’ Life Chances 50/50 raffle has officially launched.

From now until the draw on Oct. 8, residents are invited to purchase tickets for the cash lottery, which the Foundation said will give students opportunities to have better life chances.

“From giving children a bright start in school to helping them reconnect so they can cross the finish line at graduation, the Foundation is here to support students facing challenges and to create brighter futures,” the Foundation wrote in a media release. “Through Reading College, we inspire a love of reading and writing. With the Step Up fund, we ensure students have the basic necessities they need to feel ready to learn.”

Ticket packages available include 25 tickets for $50, 10 tickets for $25, and one ticket for $10.

By purchasing a ticket, the Foundation said you’re giving students opportunities that can change their lives. As of Friday morning, the current jackpot sits at $17,120 where the winner would take home $8,560. The lottery is open to anyone over 18-years-old.
