This Week in Red Deer Polytechnic Athletics The RDP Cross Country Running team will vie for the top at Running Room Grand Prix #3 in Grande Prairie. Both Red Deer Polytechnic Soccer squads will host the Ambrose University Lions. The Queens Soccer team will also face the University of Alberta Augustana Vikings in Camrose. The RDP Rodeo team will compete at the Northern Lights Rodeo in northeastern British Columbia.

Cross Country Running

Running Room Grand Prix #3 | Northwestern Polytechnic | Saturday, September 27

The Red Deer Polytechnic Cross Country Running team will look to continue its momentum into Running Room Grand Prix #3 in Grande Prairie. The Kings are coming off a first place finish in Lethbridge at Running Room Grand Prix #2. The Queens wrapped up second.

Soccer

Queens Soccer | University of Alberta Augustana | Saturday, September 27 | 1 p.m.

The second place RDP Queens (4-1-0) will face the fifth seed Vikings (1-3-1) at the U of A Augustana. Red Deer’s McKenna Leslie ranks fifth in the ACAC with six goals and 14 points.

Queens Soccer | RDP Main Field | Sunday, September 28 | 2 p.m.

The Red Deer Polytechnic Queens Soccer team (4-1-0) will host the sixth place Ambrose University Lions (0-3-2).

Kings Soccer | RDP Main Field | Sunday, September 28 | 4:15 p.m.

The fifth seed Red Deer Polytechnic Kings Soccer team (0-2-3) will entertain the fourth place Ambrose University Lions (1-2-1) at the RDP Main Field. Four different Kings—Liam Parsons, Ajdin Sarcevic, Njegos Bajovic and Mikito Funase—have scored this season.

Rodeo

Rodeo | Northern Lights Rodeo | Dawson Creek, B.C. | September 27-28

The RDP Rodeo team will compete at the two-day Northern Lights Rodeo in Dawson Creek, BC. The slack events will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday. The performance will start at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday and at 9 a.m. on Sunday.
