Lacombe Police execute search warrant at local home, charge four

Four people now face criminal charges following the execution of a search warrant at a residence in Lacombe.

Lacombe Police Service (LPS) says in a release that it was Sept. 16 when the warrant was executed under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, in the 40 block of Bruns Crescent.

Police seized cocaine, methamphetamine, fentanyl, Canadian currency, a replica gun, and other drug trafficking-related items.

Though four were charged, seven people were initially taken into custody.

Candace Payne, 42-year-old from Lacombe, has been charged with the following offences:

  • Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking Cocaine,
  • Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking Fentanyl,
  • Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking Methamphetamine,
  • Breach of a Conditional Sentence Order.

Michael Knox, 47-year-old from Lacombe, has been charged with the following offences:

  • Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking Cocaine,
  • Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking Fentanyl,
  • Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking Methamphetamine,
  • Possession of a controlled substance.

Taylor Robulak, 38-year-old from Lacombe, has been charged with the following offences:

  • Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking Cocaine,
  • Possession of stolen property,
  • Breach of a Conditional Sentence Order.

Dallas Vaudrin, 47-year-old from Lacombe, has been charged with the following offences:

  • Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking Cocaine,
  • Possession of stolen property,
  • Breach of a weapons prohibition.

All four were brought before a Justice of the Peace on Sept. 17. Both Candace Payne and Taylor Robulak were remanded in custody and will appear in Red Deer Court of Justice on Sept. 25. Michael Knox and Dallas Vaudrin were placed on release orders with conditions and scheduled to appear in Red Deer Court of Justice on Oct. 9.
