Blackfalds resident charged after allegedly stealing over $500,000 from employer

Blackfalds RCMP have arrested and charged a 37-year-old resident after they allegedly stole half a million dollars from their employer.

Mounties received a report on Jan. 17, 2024, that an employee of a local business had been stealing from the business over a span of several years.

The Blackfalds General Investigations Section investigated the case and determined the suspect had taken over $500,000.

As a result, Tristyn Caylee Torris was arrested on Sept. 10, 2025, and charged with theft over $5,000, fraud over $5,000, and forgery.
