Red Deer election town hall set for Thursday night
For the first time, Red Deer residents will get the opportunity Thursday night to hear from a few local candidates set to run in the upcoming municipal election.
Organized by Christian Cométe, who’s also a candidate in the election, the 2025 Red Deer Election Town Hall is set for Thursday, Sept. 18, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Pidherney Centre.
The event will feature four confirmed candidates including Anthony Klywak (council), Christian Cométe (council), Ashley MacDonald (council), and Cindy Jefferies (mayor). He added that mayoral candidate Lawrence Lee could also be there but has not confirmed his attendance. They will each get 15 minutes to discuss their platform.
The free event is open to the public and Cométe encourages attendance from all members of the community, as well as friends and family of the candidates. There will be tea, coffee, and sweet treats available.
