Rebels release opening night roster

The Red Deer Rebels have released their opening night roster ahead of the season opener this Friday in Red Deer.

They’ll begin the season with 25 players on the roster, including 14 forwards, eight defencemen, and three goaltenders.

Forwards

Arjun Bawa (’05), Talon Brigley (’05), Brett Calhoon (’05), Ty Coupland (’07), Samuel Drancak (’06), Jaxon Fuder (’06), Matthew Gard (’07), Beckett Hamilton (’08), Landon MacSwain (’07), Noah Milford (’08), Grayden Peterson (’09), Nolan Schmidt (’08), Owen Shadrick (’08), and Zane Torre (’08).

Red Deer also has four players away at NHL camps including Matthew Gard and Luke Vlooswyk with the Philadelphia Flyers, Jaxon Fuder with the Dallas Stars, and goaltender Chase Wutzke with the Minnesota Wild.

The Rebels season begins with the home opener on Friday, Sept. 19 at 7 p.m. against the Edmonton Oil Kings at the Centrium.
