Red Deer’s rent up year-over-year while most of Canada drops
Red Deer’s average rent was down two per cent month-to-month in August.
But it’s still up 2.8 per cent from August of last year, according to the latest National Rent Report from rentals.ca.
In fact, Red Deer is part of the just one-quarter of municipalities which saw an increase.
The list, which ranks 60 municipalities across Canada, has Red Deer at 54th, with $1,295 dollars/ month the average going rate for a one-bedroom apartment.
