Updated Francis the Pig sculpture to be unveiled Friday

The City of Red Deer announced they’re kicking off Alberta Culture Days by unveiling an updated sculpture of Francis the Pig.

They’ll present the sculpture Friday, Aug. 29 between 2 and 4 p.m. at the Central Spray and Play at 47A Avenue and 47 Street.

Alberta Culture Days in an annual festival that celebrates arts and culture in Alberta throughout the month of September. Other events taking place throughout Alberta Culture Days include making traditional cuisines, writing short stories, open studio time, painting, dancing and more.

There will be more than 40 events taking place, with something for everyone regardless of experience or interest.
