Terry Fox Run returns to Red Deer Sept. 14

The Terry Fox Run is coming up soon in Red Deer.

The run goes Sept. 14 starting from Gateway Christian School (4210 59 Street).

Registration starts at 10 a.m. with the run at 11.

You’re welcome to run, walk, ride or wheel in Terry’s honour.

“This year’s Terry Fox Run celebrates the 45th anniversary of the Marathon of Hope in Canada. For four decades, Terry Fox has inspired people from around the world to run and ride, pedal and paddle, wheel and walk, and to donate to cancer research in his name,” says Loretta Winia, run organizer.

Red Deer organizers are conducting a bottle drive, Saturday, Sept. 6, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the south Canadian Tire. T-shirts will also be for sale.
