Red Deer Vipers announce dates for main camp next week

The Red Deer Vipers have announced the dates of their annual main camp that takes place prior to the start of the Heritage Junior Hockey League (HJHL) season.

It’ll begin on Tuesday, Aug. 26 at 8 p.m. and again at the same time on Wednesday, Aug. 27 at Servus Arena.

The Vipers will close camp on Thursday, Aug. 28 with its black and red game set for 7:45 p.m. There is also still time to register for the camp by emailing vipersgm@reddeervipers.com.

Red Deer will kick off the HJHL preseason schedule with a game in Edmonton at 8 p.m. on Sept. 5 at Clareview Arena followed by their first home exhibition game on Sept. 6 at 8 p.m. at Servus Arena.

They’ll then play three more preseason games before the regular season opener on Friday, Sept. 19 in Sylvan Lake at the Nexsource Centre against the Wranglers at 8 p.m.

The Vipers home opener is set for Saturday, Sept. 20 at 8 p.m. against the Cochrane Generals at Servus Arena.
