Bridge replacement work in Lacombe County set for next week

Lacombe County has announced replacement work on a bridge located at NW 33-41-27 W4M (tributary to Whelp Brook) will begin next Thursday, Aug. 21.

The project will cause sections of Township Road 415B, Range Road 273A and Township Road 415 to be closed to traffic. However, it will be open to local traffic only.

The county says the road closures are necessary to safely complete the construction of the bridge, which is expected to be complete by Sept. 22.

Detour routes will be marked and signage will be in place to guide drivers around the construction area.

The county reminds all drivers to obey posted signage and use caution when travelling in the area.
