Brief power outage Wednesday morning affects 850 customers

The City of Red Deer confirms a brief power outage this morning affected roughly 850 customers including both residential and commercial.
Although the city did not say which neighbourhoods were affected, the power was out for approximately six minutes at 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, and the cause is under investigation.
Reports of an outage did come to rdnewsNOW from West Park and Bower, as well as from motorists travelling north on Gaetz from around 32 Street to downtown.
The city added there are many different environmental factors that could impact a breaker and cause this type of an outage.
