Sylvan Lake Gulls could advance to WCBL finals tonight

The Sylvan Lake Gulls will have the opportunity tonight to advance to the Western Canadian Baseball League (WCBL) Championship series with a win at home.

The Gulls will host the defending-champion Okotoks Dawgs in Game 2 of the West Division Finals at 7:05 p.m. at Gulls Stadium.

This comes after Sylvan Lake defeated the Dawgs 7-3 in Game 1 of the best-of-three series on Sunday night.

They advanced to the West Division Finals after sweeping the Lethbridge Bulls in the best-of-three West Division semi-finals last week.

The Dawgs have been a thorn in the side for the Gulls over the last three seasons, eliminating them in the division final every year.
